5 The Benefits of Getting Pre-Approved

Published on: 29th June, 2023

Hey. Thank you for joining me on the Get Me Ready To Buy Podcast today. Today, we're going to be talking about money and getting preapproved. You know, as a buyer, you need to partner with a professional, and that's going to be a real estate agent or maybe a lender. A lender is another professional that you need to have working with you. And part of that is the lender's responsibility to help you plan the money. How much money are you going to need? How are you going to get the money to pay for the home if you're not going to be paying cash for it? If you don't already have all that money saved up, where are you going to get it? So today, we're going to be talking about pre-approval, what it is, why it's important, and the kind of cash that you'll need.

  • 3:15 - Why is preapproval important?
  • 6:05 - How do you get pre-approved?
  • 7:39 - How long is it good for?
  • 14:12 - How much cash should a buyer have to buy a home?
  • 18:58 - Discuss gifts and seasoning
  • 26:10 - Top 3 things to NOT do before closing on a home
